OFW Gives Free Food to Struggling Old Man

Jollibee is a homegrown fast food brand that’s now taking the world by storm, one country at a time.

For example, while Jollibee continues to open new sites in Canada, US, and other parts of the world, it was recently recognized as the best fast-food fried chicken in America. That’s certainly a huge achievement because they’re competing with popular international brands like McDonalds and KFC.

According to a post on DNX News, publicist Maria Ester “Mate” Espina was dining at the Jollibee outlet when she noticed an elderly white man struggling to pay with his order but his cards were repeatedly got declined.

The situation was causing him some embarrassment.

Espina stood up with the intention of paying for the old man’s meal. However, when she got to the counter, the cashier turned away.

Moments later, the young woman was back with the elderly man’s order, telling him that it was on the house.

Touched by what she witnessed, Espina made sure to talk to the young woman and thanked her for the gesture. She was also able to take a photo of the Pinay service crew. Though she also caught up with the elderly man eating his food outside the Jollibee outlet, she explained that she didn’t snap his photo to preserve his dignity.

She introduced the young woman as Princess Iglesia – and many netizens also commended the OFW for her actions.
