A Filipina based in Romania has been joining singing contests in the country for years – and she was finally able to win the coveted grand prize on “X Factor Romania”.
Resciebelle Santiago, who now goes by the screen name ‘Bella Santiago’, wowed viewers around the world when he joined “Romania’s Got Talent” back in 2016.
The young lady wowed so many people with stellar performances but though she made it to the finals, Santiago did not win the grand prize.
She also tried her luck on “Eurovision Romania 2018” alongside her band, Jukebox, but only finished fourth in the annual song competition where they showcased their original Romanian song, “Auzi cum bate” (Hear How it Beats).
But this young lady refused to give up, knowing for sure that there are many opportunities for her in the entertainment industry.
For one, Romania’s major record label Cat approached Santiago. The resulting contract made her the first Filipina to land a major record label deal in Romania.
But it was on “X Factor Romania” that Santiago finally reached her dream of winning a major competition. Her journey to the gold began with a stellar performance in the auditions.
Originally from Cavite, Santiago wowed the judges with her all-out performances that made the judges compare her with Beyoncé.
The comparison gave this young lady a confidence boost that took her into the finale and won her the grand prize as well as the hearts of many fans across Romania. As expected, the Filipino community is rejoicing over this awesome win.
Some of her fans are even hoping that she would get noticed by Beyoncé and perhaps given a chance to be part of the singer’s future videos?
But others are hoping she would get out of the Beyoncé ‘shadow’ and make a name for herself in the music industry.
Here’s here winning piece:
Congratulations, Bella Santiago!
