Woman Seeks Help after OFW Live-in Partner’s Mom Refuses to Let Her Get 1-Year-Old Baby

While many relationships are broken by a third party, it is sad that the in-laws are also among the reasons why couples break up or quarrel over their children.

Recently, Jenny Olarve sought help from Raffy Tulfo in Action to get her 1-year-old baby from the mother of her live-in partner who refuses to give her the child while awaiting the ‘go signal’ from the baby’s dad who works as a seaman.

Teresita Tabisola lives with the baby at Brgy. 20-A Gabut Norte in Badoc, Ilocos Norte while her son is currently at sea and could not be reached as the area he’s in does not have cellular reception.

When Jenny arrived in Ilocos Norte, Nanay Teresita refused to let her get the child. The older woman would only give the child to Jenny once her son gives the go signal but because he could not be reached and would only be home in November, Jenny went home emptyhanded.

Heartbroken because she misses her son so much, Jenny had no choice but to seek help from Tulfo.

Jenny admitted that they had an agreement that the child will stay with Nanay Teresita while she is looking for a job. She revealed that she had to find a job because her live-in partner does not send allotment directly to her but through his cousin; but the cousin would not give her the money in full. Then, when she found a job, they only gave them money when they feel like sharing some of the allotment – but she’s supposedly entitled to Php10,000 every month.

What’s worse, when she finally got a job and wanted the baby back, Nanay Teresita now refuses to give the boy to her. Even on the show, she keeps insisting that she will wait for her son’s ‘go signal’ but said that she knows the law because she works at the DSWD.

After Tulfo explained many times that Jenny had all the rights to the baby because the child’s father was out of the country and they aren’t even married, Nanay Teresita finally conceded. However, Jenny still asked help from Tulfo in actually getting the child back, knowing she might encounter trouble if she goes there by herself.
