Over 400 job vacancies are available for highly skilled Filipino workers in various positions in aviation company Kuwait Airways.
Talent acquisition manager of Kuwait Airways Sathbi Salah al-Sheeha announced that the airline needs 459 positions for ground crew to be filled out by ‘highly-skilled, highly-committed and hardworking Filipinos’. The airline emphasizes that it does not want just any qualified worker but a Filipino one.
Positions that need to be filled out include the following:
- assistant cargo officer
- assistant load control
- assistant traffic officer
- baggage sorter
- cargo coordinator
- cargo operator
- traffic officer
The airline needed the additional workers as part of its expansion plan after the recent opening of Kuwait Airways Terminal 4.
According to a report on Radio Inquirer, there are currently over 400 Filipinos already working in various ground crew positions for Kuwait Airways. Their performance in their respective jobs must have been quite impressive so that the airline now wants to fill all its vacant positions for the expansion with an all-Filipino crew.
Because the airline needs to fill out these positions ASAP as the new terminal has already been opened, the Kuwait Airways recruitment team will be conducting interviews in Manila beginning this November 4 up to November 15, 2018.
Interested applicants need to apply at agencies accredited by the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POEA).
Assistant Labor Attache Teresa Olgado reminds applicants to get in touch with the labor office to check for authorized job orders in the accredited agencies licensed by the POEA. Avoid seeking help from fixers, she added.
“Paalala lamang po sa mga nais na mag-apply, makipag-ugnayan lamang sa ahensiyang may aprubadong job order at lisensyado ng POEA. Huwag makipag-usap sa fixers,” Olgado announced.
