“Wish Ko Lang” Grants OFW Dad’s Wish to Be Home for Daughter’s Debut

A dad who had been away from his family for 10 years sought the help of “Wish Ko Lang” to be home for his daughter’s debut. The show did not just bring him home for the party, a grand party was also thrown for the teen – complete with a celebrity date!

Dad Echo Flores had been working in Dubai for 10 years. Being away from his family, he missed a lot of milestones and special moments in the life of his daughter, Erriel Flores.

As his daughter was set to celebrate her 18th birthday, Dad Echo hoped he would finally be there to attend the wonderful moment and make up for all the special occasions he missed in those years he was away.

Through “Wish Ko Lang”, the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) was able to get his wish.

In the grand party set up for Erriel, GMA even got the young lady a celebrity date in the person of David Licauco. A famous beauty vlogger did Erriel’s hair and makeup. She also got a gorgeous gown created by a renowned fashion designer.

But the young lady was not told that her dad would be in attendance. Since they had not seen each other in 10 years, Erriel was used to her dad missing out on important moments in her life. Yet the young lady secretly hoped he would be there for this big moment in her life – and he actually was!

As the moment of the big reveal arrived, Erriel could not help but cry as she saw her dad walking towards her and bringing a huge bouquet for his lovely princess… There was no dry eye inside the venue that moment as the young debutante cried, hugging her dad. It was truly a beautiful moment…
